The Tricot-slen is a long wrap made of cotton jersey
that you can wear in various ways. In addition to
the four carrying methods of the Tri-cotti, you can
carry your baby in two other ways with the Tricot-slen:
sitting straight-up with curled legs (the so-called
kangaroo position) or on the back.
It is suitable for carrying children
from 0 until 24 months (about 15 kg)
The Tricot-slen divides the weight of the baby over
the abdomen and the hips. As a result, the Tricot-slen
is extremely suitable for carrying older children
for a longer period of time.
De Tricot-Slen offers many possibilities:
- The carrying sling is approximately 5.50m long.
There are no buckles or buttons so nothing can be
too tight or jammed. The benefit of this length
is that children can be carried from birth until
about two and a half years or older. It will fit
everybody wanting to carry.
- With the Babylonia slings, you can carry your
baby both lying-down and upright. And this is unique!
You can carry your baby in it from birth. The first
few months, your baby lies comfortably against you
in the natural foetal position. Baby's back, neck
and head are not burdened, but optimally supported.
From approximately three months, the baby can be
carried sitting upright. It is then seated on a
wide bearing surface, its legs spread and with a
rounded back. This is an ideal position for the
development of healthy hip joints. Your baby does
not hang, but leans relaxed against you.
- Ergonomic experts agree that a baby should not
be forced into a harness. Carrying harnesses in
which a baby is strapped vertically are not good
for the baby's back because its head pushes down
too heavily on the spine at this stage in life .
In a sling, like the Tricot Slen, the baby's back
is absolutely not burdened: the baby need not carry
itself; it simply leans against the parent, without
burdening the back.
- A sling is undoubtedly also the most pleasant
carrying system for the parent. The wide cotton
slings covering the entire shoulder surface of the
two shoulders and completely divide the baby's weight
over the upper part of the body. Neck and back are
barely or not burdened. The Tricot Slen is therefore
also especially suitable for carrying larger children
and for longer periods. It allows you to carry your
baby effortlessly for hours. There is no daily time
limit to how long you can carry your baby in the
Tricot Slen. It is entirely up to you. The weight
of your body is evenly distributed so that your
posture does not have to compensate for carrying
your baby.
- The Tricot Slen allows you to breastfeed discretely.
- The Tricot Slen takes up so little space that
you can always take it with you. When not being
used to carry, the Tricot Slen can be used as a
blanket for your baby. Being cotton, it will pick
up your scent, providing natural comfort for your
baby.
- It is suitable for all climates-100% cotton.
- The only thing requiring attention at first is
learning to put it on. It seems complicated due
to it's length but it's not as difficult as it at
first seems. Included in the packaging you will
find comprehensive and detailed instructions for
use (with step-by-step photos) in which the various
wrapping methods are clearly described.
